For Ocean Network Express (ONE), the Bill of Lading is your shipment-level key. Use it when you need one timeline across multiple containers or partner feeder legs. ONE’s tracker requires a specific BL input format and does not accept house BLs. Copy the BL directly from documents or the ONE portal and enter it exactly as issued.
Where To Find the BL Number in ONE Docs and Portal
If you are a listed party, open your shipment in ONE eCommerce and download the issued BL from the Documents area. On the BL face, look for the field labeled Bill of Lading No. Replace the placeholders below with redacted screenshots that show the exact field labels.

How To Enter a ONE BL Number
- Tracker input: enter only the last 12 characters of your ONE BL. Do not include the prefix.
- House BLs: the ONE tracker does not accept house BL numbers assigned by NVOCC or freight forwarders.
- Good practice: paste the BL from the PDF or portal. Avoid manual retyping to prevent letter O vs zero errors or dropped characters.
BL vs Container vs Booking at ONE
- BL: shipment-level milestones that remain consistent when containers split across legs.
- Container: unit-level gate, yard, load and discharge for a specific box.
- Booking: useful in pre-carriage before the BL issues. Less complete after handover.
Multiple Containers Under One BL
Use the BL view for status sharing and reconciliation. Drill into container views only for exceptions such as a roll, customs hold, or late gate. If a feeder leg seems missing, retry after system propagation, then confirm at container level.
Common Errors and Fixes
- No record found: ensure you entered only the last 12 characters. Remove spaces.
- House BL used: switch to the issued master BL from ONE. House BLs do not resolve in ONE’s tracker.
- Recent issuance: allow a short propagation window after issuance, then search again.
Work Smarter With One BL Across Carriers
For POs that use ONE on the main leg and a partner feeder elsewhere, keep the BL as your single reference for buyers and finance. Use container views only when investigating delays.
Connects To TRADLINX
If you manage ONE BLs alongside other lines, TRADLINX maps every carrier’s events to one standard BL timeline. Billing is at BL level, so you pay once per shipment and can share one live link with customers or suppliers.
